Parrot Head |
| ~ CLUB AGENDA ~ |
|
In 1989, Scott Nickerson, founder of the "Parrot Heads in
Paradise" discovered a concept regarding the typical Parrot Head.
That is, Jimmy Buffett FANS are mostly made of people who are service
oriented and like to have FUN. The MUSIC of Jimmy Buffett seems to
either attract and/or mold these type of people and IS our common thread.
Thereafter, PHIP, Inc. was formed and grew surprisingly fast and into
proportions that no one ever expected. We found this concept to have
special merit, so PHPB was officially hatched February 1, 1996. |

| ~ SERVICE FOR THE COMMUNITY
~ |
|
It is clear from reading the PHIP, Inc, ByLaws that the
various PHIP Clubs are to be responsible for some level of service to
their local community. PHPB, Inc. intends to provide for this by
supplying scheduled functions which will allow PHPB members to choose
areas of service which are of most interest to them.
Social aspect in keeping with the PHIP concept: PHPB
will provide a social outlet for its members. A regular Happy Hour
social along with other social events, will be scheduled in order for
members to socialize and get to know each other as a group.
PHPB is a liaison for the many other PH Clubs and
organizations which sponsor community service and social events.
PHPB will inform club members of those occurrences whenever possible so
that the members have an array of activities to choose from. |
